The following routines have been contributed to the Liverpool Parallel library. They are written in Occam and the library is designed to run on transputer arrays and may be called from Fortran or C main procedures. The library will be marketed jointly by NAG and N.A.Software Ltd.

S2. ie2simp.REAL32. An easy to use version of ie2nyst.REAL32 based on a quadrature approximation by Simpson's rule.
S3. ie2lnsng.REAL32. A routine to solve Fredholm integral equations of the second kind with logarithmically singular kernels.
S4. ie1lnsng.REAL32. A routine to solve Fredholm integral equations of the first kind with logarithmically singular kernels.
S5. quad_data.REAL32. A routine which returns the weights and points for Newton-Cotes quadrature of order from 1 to 11, on the interval (-1,1); and for Gauss-Legendre quadrature of orders 0,1,2,3,4,6,8,12,16,24,32,64 on the same interval.

Co-organiser of the first annual weekend Symposium of the Queensland Branch of the Division of Applied Mathematics of the Australian Mathematical Society. This meeting drew overseas and interstate visitors and was partially funded externally (by Telecom).
Organised the evening meeting 'Applications of Mathematics' joint with QAMT and the Division of Applied Maths of the Australian Mathematical Society.

Organised the Research Project of The Week for the Univations pavilion at the World Expo.
Organised a meeting on Boundary Integral Methods and the Numerical Solution of Integral Equations. This was partially funded by a grant from the Australian Mathematical Society Special Interest Meetings scheme.
It was attended by several distinguished national and international researchers.
Gave an invited address ``Computers and Contemporary Mathematics'' to the Computers in Education Group of Queensland Annual Conference.
